Description

Grant Geissman is a  world-class guitarist and Emmy-nominated composer, widely heard as the guitarist in Chuck Mangione's breakthrough 1978 album "Feels So Good," and now a very active LA studio musician in recordings, film, and TV.  Geissman is the guitarist for the critically-acclaimed and Grammy-nominated Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band, one the world's best. He's a native of San Jose and began his musical education and career here.

Grant has recorded with diverse artists including Quincy Jones, David Benoit, Burt Bacharach and Elvis Costello, Paula Abdul, Ringo Starr, John Tesh, Keiko Matsui, Van Dyke Parks, Brian Wilson, Placido Domingo, Luis Miguel, and Julio Iglesias. He has also played for popular TV shows Two and a Half Men, Monk (playing the Django Reinhardt-style acoustic guitar solo on the theme), Dawson's Creek, Touched by an Angel, Boy Meets World, and Family Affair, as well as countless movies including Austin Powers/The Spy Who Shagged Me, The Cable Guy, Tomb Raider II,  Star Trek: Resurrection, and The Majestic.

A contemporary jazz recording artist in his own right, Grant has recorded thirteen solo albums, the latest being Say That! on Futurism Records (released in 2006).  His web site is www.grantgeissman.com .
